so in the manga there are technically little to no Akatsuki left so we know the series is almost done ladies and gentlemen unless of course sensei makes another set of villains any ideas?^_^

Hmm, i’m not sure of what to make of Konan fighting Madara. Does anyone think she stands a chance? Besides, it’s raining and water is her natural weakness but she have used that weakness to her advantage before. Being Pein’s side-kick should mean that she is quite formidable but Maradra is by far the most cunning of shinobi in the ninja world.I wonder how this will play out.

Hmm,interesting speculations here. Konan is hot but Naruto is out of her league. She can’t win against Madara but maybe Pein didn’t trust Madara and have put a fail safe plan in place for such an event.Besides,Konan was expecting him so obviously she has something up her sleaves, though it might prove futile.

The manga might be coming to an end but the epidoes are along way from it. Maybe I’ll make a collection of the naruto episodes when they come out in English, my Japanese aint that good lol.

Oh another thing, I think Kishimoto should have allowed Kakashi to get some new powers from his dad since they met, what do you guys think?

good point on kakashi getting new powers. agreed. what powers did the white fang have thats worth passing down? kakashi may have surpassed his father.
re konan how did she use her weakness to her advantage before? i really doubt pein made provisions for konan to face madara. he wasnt planning to side with naruto - seemed like a last minute decision to resurrect everyone.
hard to tell what kishimoto has planned for konan - shes never been central to any plot, so i see little reason to keep her alive.

Well Kakashi’s father was the feared “Konoha White Fang.” Nothing is said specifically about his abilities but I suspect he was very skilled. I will have to do some research on him.

I don’t think kakashi has surpassed his father but he is at that level where he has to develop his own jutsu.

You probably need to look back at the fight between konan and the Aburami clan; that’s where Shino’s dad mention something about her using her weakness to her advantage. I think she had paper bombs attached to her oregami kage bunshins, and she covered herself in water to avoid damage by the explosion (at least that how i remembered it).

Additionally, even though pein had no intention of sparing Konoha, he sure had his own agenda, different from Madara’s and you will agree that any good shinobi would have prepapred for all eventualities, i.e. a falling out with Madara or any other member of Akatuski. After all, each memeber had his own motives for joining the organization and was in it for personal gain. I believe that once the organzation had fulfilled its purpose then the respective member would leave or fight his way out.

Konan could provide vital info on Akatsuki and their goals to the Kages, so she could be a charcater that kishimoto could build on from here on out and this battle would be a chance for us to see what she is made of and the direction she is headed in.

Ok here is a little info on Sakumo Hatake ( kakashi’s father)

I just put the part regarding his abilities:

Like his son, Sakumo was a gifted shinobi praised for his talents in the ninja arts even by the likes of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. In battle, Sakumo was a truly powerful shinobi, and in his time, his powers were said to surpass those of the Sannin in his day.

The mere idea of facing Sakumo brought fear to enemies, as shown from the reaction of an Iwagakure shinobi initially believing Kakashi to be his father. His primary weapon during battle was a tantō called the White Light Chakra Sabre that would emit a trail of white chakra when swung, earning him the nickname “Konoha’s White Fang”.

After he died, he left his tantō to Kakashi, which was later on cut in half when Kakashi fought Kakkō, an Iwagakure shinobi.

but yeah anyway Sensei for sure needs too add to his characters fighting abilities since it is a
fighting manga but never tone down the story

thanks nico! interesting stuff. i googled sakumo hatake too, not much additional info. only reason why i said he surpassed his father was because he had the advantages of the sharingan! something very formidable to contend with.

the number of times he turned a battle around and/or saved himself was thanks to the sharingan. especially when he fought deidara he could send an attack into another dimension. thats madaras strength too, plucking sasuke out of battle with the kages and into his dimension. madara tried the same trick on narutos dad but failed due to teleporting technique. speaking of which, had a discussion with some friends the other day about narutos new ability. do you guys think he can now teleport? i thought the manga showed that he could when he took on kisame but people say he moved quickly but it was NOT teleporting. any thoughts?

Naruto 509-510 Prediction:

Konan and Tobi stare at each other.

A thunder flashes as Tobi appears behind Konan in an instant. She turns just in time to lock arms with him as his is forcefully launched at her head. Stopping his arm and locking it with her own she stands eyes to eye with the former member of Akatsuki.

“You have quite the speed Konan” Tobi’s voice is spiteful.

“You are not so slow yourself” Konan clenches her teeth as she struggles to hold on to Tobis arms.”

“You haven’t seen nothing yet..” Tobi whispers in an amused voice and disappears right in front of Konan’s eyes.

Right that instant Tobi reappears above Konan and she barely dodges his strike. She jumps to the side as he strikes the water splashing it all over the place. In the corner of her eye she loses sight of him again as he vanishes from the water. “He is too fast for normal battle” she thinks to herself as she starts to initiate step two in her plan.

Forcing a large amount of chakra to her feet she bursts forward leaving a paper clone that is instantly impaled by Toby’s hand from behind through the clones neck. Paper is flying everywhere. Forming a seal with her hands, ” Paper Tomb no Jutsu!”
The paper clone closes around the hand impaling it and deforms around Tobi’s body, slowly starting to trap and crush him. “That will slow him down” She whispers as she continues to rush towards her goal.

Jumping the last meters she reaches the border of the city, just before the beach. She feels her clone crumbling around nothing and turns around on the spot facing Toby and the now useless paper.

“Do you think the city barrier will stop me?” Tobi appears in front of Konan so fast the mind struggles not to accept the notion that he was always there.

He launches out at her once more, but she almost pre-empts him and simultaneously blocks his arms locking them to her own, again standing face to face with her enemy.

“Impressive Konan” Tobi’s voice still seems amused. “To think you had such reactive speed and what impressive abilities to read your opponent. Or am I just that obvious?”

Konan smiles at Tobi, “Either your obvious or I’m just fast enough to handle you.”
Tobi shifts his weight forward a little so that his face comes closer to Konan.

“Not fast enough I’m afraid. I don’t need to strike you. In fact to make contact was all I ever needed!” Tobi’s mask start to twist as he begins sucking Konan into his realm….

Konan seems to not react to this justsu, calmly being pulled into Tobi’s realm.

“Your first mistake, as always seems to be to underestimate your opponent’s.” Konan smile. ” To think that I would not be prepared for you powers… But I guess that is something you would expect from an old and much to powerful entity.. or what do you say? Madara now? Is it?”

At this Tobi flinches noticeably surprised by her words.

“What do you know?” he whispers.

“Enough” is Konan’s last words before her head is sucked into Tobi’s void. As her body follows it breaks up into papers with explosion tags.

Tobi tries to jump away from the explosions but is held down at his feat by Rain-shinobi from the water. The explosions go of, but many of them is sucked into the void and disappear.

(somewhere in the void two characters get suprised by many explosions and flee!!)

As the void jutsu settles and the explosions end Tobi’s whole body is instantly engulfed in razor shard blade like papers and new exploding tags start to attach themselves all over him. They start to explode in fiery light and smoke!

As the smoke settles Konan and several paper clones are placed all around Tobi’s location in a ring and besides them are hundreds of Rain-Shinobi, all ready to strike at her command. They all stare at what remains of Tobi.
There is only the mask left, floating on the water..

“A clone…. Clever girl” Tobi’s voice hisses in an ominous echo.

“Secret pouring water grave!” Konan yells and smashes her hand in the surface activating the Seal around the places she is standing. The rain start to furiously rain inwards towards the place of the mask. The drops form a prison bombarding all that is inside, pushing it to the middle. As the rain hits the mask it starts to form a void and shift in place. But the water is to strong and keeps it in place, pushing it somewhat into the water.

“HaaaaaaAAAA!!” Konan screams as she pours all her power into the seal jutsu!!

The rain drops change to resemble needles and intensify in their number and fury.
Some of the rain-ninjas Form another seal adding Lightning to the rain seal. The thunder infused rain needles start to vaporise the mask.

“No, it can’t be… NoOOOOOO” Tobi’s voice is heard screaming as he is disintegrated by the powerful jutsu.

As the mask disappears the jutsu is ended. The rain goes back to normal and Konan falls to her knees, her clones vanishing. She gasps for air out of exhaustion.

“Is it over…” she whispers as her fellow ninjas help her back to her feet.
“Yes… you did good Konan.” Yahiko’s voice reaches her ears.

She twists in agony as a Kunai pierces the left side of her chest from the back. Her eyesight goes blurry as she turns to see her assailant. Yahiko is standing behind her with the Kunai. He is smiling softly. Konan struggles to understand the situation.

“Yahiko?” she mumbles.

“Yes, it’s me Konan. It’s time for you to go to sleep. Don’t worry. I’ll protect the Rinnegan from the enemies.” His voice is very warm.

Konan is utterly confused, she is losing a lot of blood.

“But why? How? Why did you stab me?” Konan begins to feel tired.

“Never mind that now, To save you and the Rinnegan I need to make it look like I’ve stricken you down. Tell me where the Rinnegan is and I’ll get us out of here.”

Konan stares for some seconds at Yahiko, her sight starting to dim.

“But….you..know..where…” she struggles to get the words out.

“KONAN!” Another voice echoes in her head. “WAKE UP! YOU MUST WAKE UP!” It’s Nagato’s voice!

Konan feels a surge of energy run through her body and her eyes open wide. All around her dead Rain-ninjas lie floating in the water. Behind her is Yahiko’s body, horribly stitched up and pale. She looks up to see in front. Tobi is standing some ways from her and beside him is Sasuke. One of his eyes are closed. But the other!!!

“I guess your new illusions can be broken after all.” Tobi’s voice seem mocking.

“Quiet, you just focus on your doll there and I’ll handle the rest. If she won’t tell a friend, then she will tell pain!” Sasuke’s voice is twisted horribly. His eye start to swirl and focus on Konan.
Her eyes drown in the terrible vastness of power the eye represent. She screams!

Sasuke slowly approaches her and puts his face close to hers, staring into her eyes. She cannot avert them. He smiles.

“Will you tell me then?” His voice is monstrous.

All of a sudden Konan bursts into papers, dispersing to the left and right.

“Quite impressive” Tobi’s voice is amused. “She fooled us again…”

“Don’t worry, I’ll find her again..” Sasuke’s voice is normal, but annoyed.

At the borders of the rain country.

Konan is gasping for air. “The transportation jutsu you set up so many years ago….. To think it would still be active Nagato… I never thought you had set it up for me like this…” she is talking to herself.. As she walks blood is slowly dripping from her side.
“Yahiko…….Nagato…”
She turns her gaze toward the horizon, and in her eyes you see new determination. “Naruto” She says with a somewhat steady voice as she walks onwards towards the country of fire..

I thought that Yahiko died,and you know,became the Deva path for Pain(AKA:Nagato)

She messes Madara up.

You still can’t see his face.
But about half of the mask has been destroyed.

What you can see is a guy with short hair.
He looks really young (I think/It seems)

Bridge to peace (trans: chapter title?)

Madara asks Konan the reason for her betrayal. Is Naruto really worth it?
Konan says Naruto is the light, the flower of hope for everyone.
Konan is hostile towards Madara.
Madara: Fighting with me wearing that cloak, does it mean you still can’t let go.
Konan: Yahiko created the Akatsuki. The red clouds on this cloak are the symbol of the rain of blood that poured down in Amegakure during the war. Even if you had taken over the Akatsuki, this cloak still represents our justice. It’s not yours. The Rinnegan was activated by Nagato in Amegakure, it’s not yours either. His eyes are the precious asset of this country, of this village.

Madara: It’s I who made Yahiko create the Akatsuki. It’s I who gave Rinnegan to Nagato. It’s only right that I take them back. All I have to do now is capture you.

The fight begins.

konan tries to use exploding tags to attack madara.it’s a kind of jutsu that the user and the victim dies together.madara loses his right arm but manage to teleport the explosion away.some flashback of konan,yahiko and nagato.madara says tat madara gave nagato the rinnegan.(wTF?) and he told yahiko to create akatsuki(WTF.i have no idea.)

konan says madara is the dark tat is why everyone stays away from him.the chapter ends with konan using a fuiin jutsu.

The bridge to peace
Madara listens to Konan’s reasons for her betrayal (of Akatsuki). He says he didn’t expect that Naruto was worth so much.
Konan says hostilely, “Because he is the light, and holds the flower of hope for everyone.”
Madara: “The fact that you are still wearing those clothes (Akatsuki uniform) despite fighting me tells me that you still cling to Akatsuki.”
Konan: “Akatsuki was created by Yahiko, the red clouds on their uniform symbolise the rain of blood that fell during war in Amegakure, and just because you came aboard Akatsuki, it doesn’t make it yours – it’s our symbol of justice”
Konan continues: “The Rinnegan was bestowed upon Nagato of Amegakure, it is not yours, but his eyes are this country’s, and this village’s treasure”
Madara lets Konan’s paper shuriken pass through his body, “This will be the end, so I’ll tell you”
“The one who induced Yahiko to set up the Akatsuki was me. The one who gave Nagato the Rinnegan was also me. That’s why it’s only right to ask for them to be returned to me”
The two begin their battle as Konan says that if Madara were to get his hands on it, all sorts of things would happen.
Konan doesn’t let hi materialised body escape by attacking with a large number of paper attacks.
Madara notices that she has something planned and decides to take her on, trying to suck Konan up when he has a chance.
However Konan has mixed some exploding tags among the paper, intending to kill the both of them.
-flashback starts-
When Akatsuki was founded? Konan reports to Yahiko that their members have been defeated.
Yahiko and Nagato are both injured and bandaged.
There are numerous other minor members present apart from Yahiko, Nagato and Konan.
Nagato says that he will go out to recce in the afternoon, but Yahiko says “I’ll go, so rest, don’t strain yourself”
He continues, “Nagato is pivotal to Akatsuki and is the man who will change the world. So just give all your worries to Nagato”
Konan: “The same goes for you, everyone loves you and thus follows you, just like with Nagato”
A while later, Yahiko responds “He is the man who will become the bridge to peace. My role is to become a pillar of support to that bridge”
Yahiko murmurs, “This country is still crying, and I now want to save this country which I once hated for always crying, that’s how I feel deep down. I just can’t leave this country alone because it’s a crybaby just like me,” and he leaves.
Konan, Nagato and the other members see him off, Nagato says, “The one who will be the bridge to peace is him, his very purpose will form the bridge”
“We’ll believe in Yahiko, let’s go everyone!” he commands, before following after Yahiko.
The flashback ends with Konan’s monologue of determination “I will become the pillar of support to the two bridges formed by Yahiko and Nagato”
The exploded paper and cloth are scattered about. We see a little of Madara’s face as his mask has broken. He has also lost his right arm.
He says to Konan who is right before him, seemingly not with as many injuries, “I underestimated you, after all you were also once a member of Akatsuki.”
“You intended to explode the both of us, but thanks to the fact that I sucked in a little of the explosion, both of us are safe”
In response to Madara’s question if she’s exhausted her secret plans, Konan says that she has a question for Madara. “Do you know why you were betrayed by us?”
Madara: Who knows?
Konan uses secret arts as she yells “You are darkness, a flower can only wilt in a world without light!”
The lake? sea? all becomes paper, and spreads just like the Red Sea did for Moses, and she tries to drop Madara into it… next chapter!
A secret art to protect Nagato… Seal him into a sea of paper!!

looks like madara underestimated konan (for now) - 100% she will die by the 510. they love taking us on a roller coaster ride - when u think someones won the fight, a “surprise” comes along

yeah but still if Konan survives good because I like villains with honor and values their friends and family like her, Nagato, Itachi, and Kisame(he said his life was a lie since all he did was murder so maybe he did value friends and regretted killing them but his loyalty kirigakure forced him to it)
