Don’t have enough time to watch this ep. yet, but I read the new manga and I love how itachi did so much just to protect Sasuke. Hopefully Itachi’s actions will turn Sasuke into a good guy again.

Pein, not sure why these episodes are not part of the manga - probably fillers to give them more time to draw the other episodes. Thats also probably why they skip episodes every now and then to make sure the timing btw manga and anime is in synch.
It’s slow in the manga with all the talk about Itachi and the night he killed the Uchihas. But it should be picking up the pace more now that Madara finished talking to Sasuke. I wonder who will be the next main villain now that Orochimaru is trapped in a permanent genjutsu and Itachi is dead. Maybe Madara will have a big role coming soon then…

the episodes are starting to become drasticly boring
sasuke and madara would be my guess - worthy opponents for Konoha since Naruto is still so far behind. Gives them many more episodes to drag out the story. Sasuke would probably team up with Madara - and let Konoha take out Akatsuki one at a time. Interesting times. I am glad the anime has diverged from manga - gives us TWO things to be excited over every week
I don’t think they’ll team up and take down Konoha. Itachi gave Sasuke the amaterasu ability that activates whenever Sasuke sees Madaras sharingan so teaming up would be a bad idea. I think Sasuke might go back to the good guys now that has search for power is over and he knows the truth of Itachi. So it’s now Madara and the rest of the akatsuki to deal with. Unless Orochimaru pops up again (which he might since part of his body is in kabuto and that part is starting to take control of kabuto). Or they could bring someone different into the story. but no matter what happens, things will be getting good soon.
Sasuke is as strong as Madara if the authors want him to be with Itachis power within. The fact that amaterasu is activated does not mean he will be incompatible with Madara (its defensive ie Madara cannot use Sharingan against him but i am sure it can be used in battle against others). Sasuke will be mad with the elders of Konoha for making Itachi do what he did - his grief leads to anger and hate. That is why Madara is telling him the story. We will know soon within the next few episodes. Akatsuki is too weak to represent a formidable foe. I am not sure how Konoha will be able to withstand both Madara and Sasuke at once though.
I just saw some of the chapter 402 spoilers, and I think you are right admin about Sasuke probably attacking Konoha. I really thought he would become a good guy again, but I suppose I was wrong. This will be an interesting battle if Sasuke does attack Konoha. I still doubt he will join with Madara in attacking the leaf village though, but i guess it’s possible. You said Sasuke would be mad with the elders for what they made Itachi do, but I don’t think Sasuke should hate the entire Leaf village because Itachi saved that entire village from a civil war and war with any othr village that might attck. Itachi had to kill the Uchihas who were planning a coup d’etat so that the entire village and land of fire wouldn’t suffer. Attacking the Leaf village would serve no real purpose other than starting up a war that Itachi tried to prevent between Uchiha and the village. In fact, it would seriously hurt Sasukes plan for restoring his clan if he destroyed the village that the Uchihas called home. Some interesting things will be happening soon, just have to wait to see them happen.
